About the Exhibit: Alex Sax brings a quiet, contemplative body of art to Clayton’s Café, where her works on paper offer a chance to look closely at the natural world. On display are original prints made from Sax’s drawings and paintings of mushrooms, flowers, and butterflies inspired by time spent walking in nature. Rendered in color and black and white, Sax emphasizes form, texture, and line, building each image through layers of marks. Each piece captures a moment of reflection—an unfolding that gently reminds us of the magnificence of the natural world.

Installed within the café, the work can be enjoyed while lingering over coffee or a meal, encouraging an unhurried, everyday encounter with art.
